Subject Focus: Introduction to computer systems

 1] I can research, identify, explain and present input and output devices specific to cutting-edge industries e.g. space travel, surgery, medicine and the military.
2] I can create and present a personalised input and/or output device by combining sensors, resources or electronics available.
3]  I can analyse and evaluate software requirements of a particular situation and apply my knowledge to specific systems requirements.

Subject Focus: Principles of computing, software and hardware 

1] I can create a mechanical counting machine which can add up to 2 bits using resources available.

1] I can describe how flip flops can be used to store data.

2] I can build a binary adding machine with logic simulation software.

Subject Focus: Communication networks and internet technologies

1] I can construct a virtual network using a simulated network builder.
2] I know the use of basic HTML tags to create a simple web page including text, links and images.
3] I understand common website features and structures and can represent a site design graphically, including internal and external linkage. I can design and develop simple websites consisting of several pages, including appropriate content, navigation and formatting.
4] I can analyse a given context and design, construct and test a website to fulfil a specific need e.g. a website for a pet shop or a sports club. I can include features such as menu options, text hyperlink, graphics hyperlink, background and text colours and create web pages.
